In this interview we explore a different way to look at slavery, this time as related to our unhealed wounds. Elaine Zook says that “sometimes individuals and groups become enslaved to their wounds and it becomes part of their identity and stuck narratives and they just keep spinning on the cycles.” In the same line Richard Rohr points out that “pain that is not transformed is transferred”.
