Six students in their second year of theology became Acolytes on the 2nd<\/sup> May 2015. Fr. R\u00e9al Doucet, the Rector, welcomed Bishop Bucher, Emeritus of Bethlehem Diocese, and the assembly. Fr. Doucet acknowledged the simplicity and availability of Bishop Bucher.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of Mass, Robbin Simbeye and Douglas Ogato described briefly the missionary experience of each candidate. Then, Fr. Quinbert Kinunda presented the six candidates to the Bishop. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In his homily, Bishop Baucher urged the assembly and each new acolyte to be open to innovative challenges such as starting new areas of mission in Asia. Listening to the beautiful melodies sang by the students, he praised the internationality and cultural diversity of the Missionaries of Africa. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Before the final blessing, Daniel Iraguha gave a brief speech on behalf of the newly Acolytes. He gave a vote of thanks to the main celebrant quoting him saying that the Missionaries of Africa are radical when it comes to follow Christ.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Holy Mass ended with the \u2018Sancta Maria\u2019 hymn followed with a joyful gathering in the dining room.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
