Phoebe Kilby<\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0began her work in racial reconciliation in 2007, when she first contacted Betty Kilby Fisher (Baldwin) on Martin Luther King Day.\u00a0Phoebe\u2019s ancestors were enslavers in the United States prior to 1865; Betty is descended from the persons that Phoebe\u2019s family once enslaved.\u00a0Since that time Phoebe has become a leader in the Coming to the Table organization, which seeks to fulfil Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s dream \u201cthat the sons of former slave owners and sons of former slaves\u00a0will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Coming to the Table (CTTT) is profiled at:<\/span>\u00a0www.comingtothetable.org<\/a><\/i><\/i><\/address>\n
