Children from nearby St. Joseph’s Primary School visit a finished classroom at Loyola Jesuit Secondary School to try out the new desks and chairs. You can tell by facial expressions their dreams that one day they might sit in this classroom as regular students!

Fr Pete Henriot still remains my mentor! He made me have an interest in the social teaching of the church…way back in 1991 when I just started my priestly formation. I attended African Synod workshops organised by JCTR at Kalemba Hall and eventually was ‘co-opted’ in the following every encyclical or pastoral letter released by the Pope or Zambian Bishops. Towards the end of my seminary life, I earned a nickname “Pontiff” from my fellow classmates because of my knowledge of every latest encyclical released by the Holy Father. I pray for his success in Kasungu with the education of those in needy!
